FAQ — Cbus 3D Print Forge

Question 1

How do I place an order?

Accepted Answer

Fill out the quote request form on our Start a Project page. Tell us what you need — product type, quantity, colors, and any deadline — and we'll send you a free quote within 24 hours. No design file required.

Question 2

Do I need to provide a design file?

Accepted Answer

Nope! Just describe what you want and we'll handle the design. If you have a reference image, sketch, or STL file, we're happy to use it. Either way, we'll send you a preview before we print.

Question 3

Can I see a sample before my full order?

Accepted Answer

Yes — for orders of 25+ pieces, we can print a single sample for approval before running the full batch. Sample cost is credited toward your final order.

Question 4

What file formats do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept STL, OBJ, 3MF, and STEP files. For logo or artwork files, send us SVG, AI, or high-resolution PNG. Not sure? Just send what you have and we'll figure it out.

Question 5

How long does it take to get my order?

Accepted Answer

Most orders are ready in 3–7 business days after approval. Party favors and small flexi-toy orders are often faster (2–4 days). Large bulk orders or complex terrain pieces may take 7–10 days. Rush options are available — just mention your deadline in the form.

Question 6

Do you offer rush orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Rush turnaround (1–2 business days) is available for most products. Rush orders carry an additional fee depending on quantity and complexity. Mention your deadline in the quote form and we'll let you know what's possible.

Question 7

Do you ship, or is it pickup only?

Accepted Answer

Both! We offer free local pickup in the Columbus area (Powell, Dublin, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, and surrounding suburbs). We also ship anywhere in the US via USPS or UPS. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

Question 8

Where are you located for local pickup?

Accepted Answer

We're based in the Powell/Dublin area of Columbus, Ohio. Exact pickup address is shared after your order is confirmed. We serve the greater Columbus metro including Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Westerville, and New Albany.

Question 9

How is pricing calculated?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is based on print time, material used, complexity, and quantity. Simple items like keychains and name tags start around $2.50–$3.50 each. Flexi-toys and miniatures range from $5–$12 each. We always send a detailed quote before you commit to anything.

Question 10

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Orders of 25+ pieces receive a 10% discount. Orders of 50+ receive 15% off, and orders of 100+ are priced individually — just ask. Bulk pricing applies to all product categories.

Question 11

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Accepted Answer

For most products, no — you can order just one flexi-toy or miniature. Party favors have a minimum of 8–10 pieces, and business swag keychains have a minimum of 25. Minimums are listed on each product in our Portfolio.

Question 12

Do you require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

For orders over $75, we ask for a 50% deposit to begin production. The remaining balance is due at pickup or before shipping. We accept Venmo, PayPal, cash, and most major credit cards.

Question 13

What colors are available?

Accepted Answer

We stock 30+ filament colors including standard, metallic, glow-in-the-dark, and silk finishes. Multi-color prints (like our flexi-toys) are printed in a single pass with up to 4 colors. We'll share a color swatch sheet with your quote.

Question 14

Are the prints food-safe or waterproof?

Accepted Answer

Our standard PLA prints are not food-safe or fully waterproof. For outdoor or water-adjacent use, we recommend PETG material (available on request). We don't recommend our prints for direct food contact.

Question 15

How durable are 3D printed items?

Accepted Answer

Very! Our PLA and PETG prints are sturdy for everyday use, party favors, desk accessories, and gaming pieces. They're not designed for heavy mechanical stress or extreme heat (avoid leaving in a hot car). Flexi-toys are tested to withstand normal play.

Question 16

Can you print from a character or logo I own?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you own the rights or have permission to reproduce it. We can't print officially licensed characters (Disney, Marvel, etc.) without a license. For original characters, business logos, and custom designs — absolutely.
